Who says pretty people can't be pioneers? Supermodel turned actress Carol Alt has plunged ahead and moved into the new loft building at 124 Hudson Street in TriBeCa. The 40-year-old beauty, who paid $2.15 million for a four-bedroom, 3,200-square-foot loft last summer, chose not to cancel her October closing: "If it's your time to go, it's your time to go," she says. Alt is the first to occupy the building, nearly all 26 units of which have been sold. "She was a real trouper," says a representative at Stribling Marketing Associates, the brokers for the building. "She had her gallons of bottled water and moved right in." The native Long Islander, divorced from Rangers defenseman Ron Greschner, is lately being squired about by another hunky hockey player, Islanders center Alexei Yashin. Hey, he's a big guy?maybe she can get him to help her move?
