Towering homer: Some New Yorkers avoid their neighbors. But the financier who swapped two low-floor apartments plus $8.35 million for a penthouse in Trump World Tower has an incentive to meet his: The other apartment on the floor is Derek Jeter's. The buyer -- a huge baseball fan -- "spends only about one week a month in the city," notes Charles Glatter, his Halstead broker. Not a bad pied-à-terre: The 4,800-square-foot place, on the eighty-eighth floor, has huge windows and a view clear to Jersey. In case you're shopping, the one upstairs is still available, for $16 million.
