A Clean, Well-Lighted Space
Shiny cherry lacquer, gleaming white tile and chrome, and plenty of sunlight may seem like counterintuitive décor in a relaxing spa, but the new Clarins Treatment Boutique on Madison Avenue is bright, beautifully laid out, and a perfect showcase for the company’s products. The body oils and creams that launched the line are still there for the faithful, but now there’s a full array of skin care and cosmetics. After you stock up, head upstairs to the relaxation area for a 30-minute Express facial ($60), neck-and-shoulder rub ($70), or leg massage ($70) (1061 Madison Avenue, at 80th Street; 212-734-6100).
Beauty Marks
BUST BOOSTERS Give yourself and your New Year’s Eve dress a toned, radiant décolleté. At Yasmine Djerradine, they begin with a power peel, then apply serums and a mask to plump and revitalize ($95; 212-588-1771). Aida Bicaj in Dr. Aron Kressel’s office uses a milk cleanser and an exfoliating lotion, hydrates with an amino-acid-rich liquid, scrubs and massages, and finishes with an oxygenating mask and hydrating serum ($100; 212-989-6077). At Shizuka New York, the chest is steamed, cleansed with glycolic acid and scrubbed, and treated to a multivitamin peel and gel mask ($60; 212-644-7400).
