Holiday dinner parties are a rite-of-passage for young New Yorkers, but like many of them, I have major anxiety about the perfect hostess gift, especially since I’m terrified of wine. Maybe that’s why on a recent liquor store excursion, I skipped past the Pinot Noir in favor of something much more familiar: tequila. This new line from Corzo tastes smooth and simple, and its bottle is something of a status accessory—it was designed by Fabian Baron, the creative director of Vogue France and the man behind the CK One campaign and its iconic container. Besides its nice taste and fashion cred, the tequila fuels a party all night—something not even the best pinot can claim to do.
$60-$63 at Crush Wine & Spirits, 153 E. 57th St., between Lexington and Third Aves., 212-980-9463.
