Move over, Kiehl'syou've got some
competition in Fort Greene. That's where Bed-Stuy native
Lisa Price creates, tests, and sells her own wellness
line, Carol's Daughter. Made with all natural ingredients,
Lisa's hair and skincare products are 100% Brooklyn bornshe
creates every first batch in her own kitchen sink. The
shop is packed with tempting (and great smelling) stuff,
but my favorite is the Skin Smoothie, a rich blend of
shea butter and essential oil that doubles as deep conditioner
for parched hair. Sweet!
$25 at Carol’s Daughter, 1 S. Elliot Pl., Fort Greene, Brooklyn, 718-596-1862, carolsdaughter.com.
