After years of being an iPod hold-out, I finally got an iPod mini to help drown out the noise of my commute (which, now that spring is here, involves walking over the roaring traffic of the Williamsburg Bridge). Then I started using it to keep me entertained on runs and at the gym, so I went in search of the perfect armband. The SportWrap Armband from XtremeMac snugly fits the bill. It's made of Neoprene so it's sweat-resistant. It's got a "play-through cover" design that lets you work the jog dial without removing your iPod. It's adjustable, straps on and off in an instant thanks to Velcro tabs, and it comes in black, red, blue, and yellow. The iPod mini version is available right now, and there's an iPod Shuffle version that begins shipping on April 4 (but you can preorder today).
$29.95 at xtrememac.com.
