I’m not a preppy dresser, but for those rare daytrips to Greenwich (Connecticut, not Village) I’ve found these boat shoes by Rockport. Rubber-bottomed for easy walks on the beach, the shoes come in a wide color pallet, including two-toned pink and green for ladies and a nice deep blue for guys. They look great peeking out of khakis, and best of all, their leather is machine washable, so those secret midnight trips to the golf course can be wiped away with a little soap and water.
$70 at Rockport, 160 Columbus Ave., near 67th St., 212-579-1301; rockport.com.
