Ann Morhauser,
the name behind the Annieglass collection, toiled away
at making the perfect heart-shaped bowl. The California
tabletop designer is all about shapefish, plants,
boatsbut the heart eluded her. Finally, late last
year, she baked yet another variation and knew she had
something. The 5-inch and 7-inch heart bowl, formed with
Morhauser's signature glass-slumping technique, has a
delightful arch that's almost, well, huggable. There's
that reach-out-and-touch quality to Annieglass that's
virtually nonexistent in the glass design world, where
the rule of thumb is more "look, don't touch."
The bowls come in lots of fun colors and can be used as
anything from dipping sauce bowls to candle votives to
soap dishes.
