Yes, East Village Radio is fabulous, but sometimes you want a station where you actually know the bands—even if nobody at Z100 plays them. That’s why there’s Indie103, the Los Angeles station devoted to exposing new rockers and blaring current indie obsessions over the airwaves. With a playlist blasting everything from The Libertines to Macrosick (and of course, your daily dose of Bright Eyes), this station is a huge resource for people who love music, but don’t know a ton about emerging bands. It’s also great for B-Sides, songs by well-known rockers that don’t always make the airwaves. But I really love Indie103 because it helps me through the workday: just streamline it online, insert iPod headphones into your PC, and tune out.
