David Alhadeff is the younger generation’s Murray Moss. For those of you who haven’t heard of either, Murray Moss is the man behind the design store Moss in SoHo. While it seems like a very serious place with its stark white walls and glassed-in cases, he always has a few surprises, and they’re almost always pretty darn funny. Alhadeff does the same at his Williamsburg Store, The Future Perfect, where I recently spotted these mirrors. The bird is sweet, the skull is a bit naughty (I love skulls so I don’t care!) and the mustache was a touch of Dali humor. It is fun design, at a democratic price.
$45 at The Future Perfect, 115 N. 6th St., near Berry St., Williamsburg, Brooklyn, 718-599-6278, thefutureperfect.com.
