Years ago, I fell in love with and bought a pair of Mui Mui rubber loafers. (As a non-wellies girl, I thought loafers were genius.) I wore them out, I donated them, end of story. My new version of the rain shoe is Sigerson Morrison’s super-chic “Rain or Shine” rubber flat. Truth be told, it is a lot cuter than my loafer of yore, which was a square-toed number (chic then, not now), only in black (these come in several colors), and about the same price.
$125 at Sigerson Morrison, 242 Mott St., at Prince St., 212-941-5404; sigersonmorrison.com.
