“You should sit here,” said my friend at the start of her dinner party. On my plate was a little card from Kate Spade that read: Faran—Flirtatious. I don’t know if it was a warning to the guy sitting next to me, or a hint that there were tons of cute singles at the table, but one thing was sure: I couldn’t stop laughing, and neither could anyone else. The cards proved especially useful during appetizers, when we introduced ourselves merely by holding up our description. For the record, mine was totally accurate—and the guy who got my number had a card that read Bachelor. Who’s surprised?
$18 for a pack of eight at Kate Spade, 454 Broome St., at Mercer St., 212-274-1991; katespade.com.
