Aiming to take advantage of post-massage bliss, the Cornelia Boutique (663 Fifth Ave., nr. 52nd St.; 212-871-3050), nestled inside the recently opened Cornelia Spa, carries exclusive and custom-created home design and accessories. Snatch up handblown Ghiselène Golivet glassware (carafes are $225), Jane Woolrich lingerie and loungewear, and Diane Bellavance antique crystal-and-silver jewelry (cuff links are $325). Even the most-high-end spas generally don’t stock $1,500 stingray eyeglass cases from Paris.
Brigitte NYC (63 Crosby St., nr. Spring St.; 212-226-4550) opened last month, showcasing owner–designer Brigitte Vosse’s elegant, handmade ready-to-wear and custom clothing (vintage kimono silk gowns run from $300). The serene store has maple floors, display racks made of copper, and a waterfall; there are also pieces from Joan Vass, Babette, and Jaynne Keyes (jewelry is $95 to $1,200).
And Blow Styling Salon (342 W. 14th St., nr. Ninth Ave.; 212-989-6282), which opens February 10, proves that good hair can be affordable. The loftlike space offers appointment-free styling with blow-outs for $35; fancier ’dos stay under $75.
