Following in the footsteps of Girlshop, CoCo & Delilah has turned a shopping Website into a store—in record time. Coco-nyc.com started just over a year ago, and developed such a following that now a bricks-and-mortar outpost is selling frilly Nanette Lepore tops and dresses next to the East Village’s piercing shops and tattoo parlors (115 St. Marks Pl., nr. Ave. A; 212-254-8741). There’s also a strong denim selection—Blue Cult, Joe’s Jeans, and Hudson—plus Petro Zillia skirts (from $242), Catch-A-Fire tees (from $35), and C. Ronson hoodies ($90).
Also: Aveda opens a new store in Grand Central on May 26 (87 E. 42nd St., nr. Lexington Passage; 212-682-5397). Lacoste ventures down to Soho (134 Prince St., nr. W. Broadway; 212-226-5019) for its third Manhattan location. And Sabon has a third branch, too. The store features a deep stone sink to sample the refreshing handmade soaps and body products (93 Spring St., at Broadway; 212-925-0799).
