Fits Ego Sizes XL, XXL . . .

Just in time for Fashion Week, the city showed off its exclusive Crisis Polo -- required apparel for wrestling with the perfect storm, gearing up for a Y2K shutdown, or just hunkering in the bunker. It's available in white or blue, with a mayor's office of emergency management insignia on the front and the full department name in block letters on the back. But don't look for it at your local retailer: Unlike the NYPD and NYFD, the OEM doesn't peddle its brand to just anyone. Department members flash theirs in the command center -- and the city's top action hero wears it only when a business suit just won't do: "He wore it for Floyd, but he didn't wear it for encephalitis," says one spokesman. With hardy all-cotton construction and clean, classic comfort, the Crisis Polo is ideal activewear for the mayor on the go. Note to Hillary: Call Tommy Hilfiger -- fast.
