Beauty and the Heat

Don't hit fall looking like something summer dragged in -- with these markdowns, you can look like a million bucks without spending nearly as many.

Whether they're spent basking on the beach or confined in the sticky city, the dog days of summer invariably take a toll on how pretty you look and feel. To help you regroup, we've put together this menu of ten spa services. Bring in this page between now and Labor Day, and you'll be pampered at prices you don't have to be a princess to afford.

For tress distress: Gil Ferrer's "Follicle Facial" will repair split ends and restore much-needed balance to your hair and scalp (now $75, normally $125). A haircut and blowout at Robert Kree, usually $65 and up, starts at $50. Or get your chop ($78) at TwoDo, an adorable tuckaway on the Upper West Side, and you'll receive a free Kérastase intensive repair treatment (regularly $20). Oscar Blandi's junior (though nevertheless experienced and talented) stylists will charge $50 for a man's haircut (normally $85) and $85 for a woman's (normally $100).

Nurture your pores with Ling Skin Care's healing facial -- skin analysis, exfoliation, steaming, massage, extractions, and a custom-blend herbal mask -- plus a gift for first-time customers: a free four-ounce jar of the mask ($115). Faina European Spa will mark down its revitalizing package -- a decadent four hours that includes a facial, hydrating mask, full-body massage or seaweed wrap, manicure and pedicure, spa lunch, and gift -- to $190 (from $235). Eden Day Spa offers a 75-minute massage plus a 75-minute facial for $150 (normally $195). A Back to Basics massage, normally $90 for an hour and $70 for 45 minutes, will be 15 percent off. Sick of waxing every two weeks? Get rid of unwanted fuzz for good: Dr. Robert Guida will take half off the usual $500 to $1,500 asking price on laser hair removal. Chelsea Eye Associates will take 10 percent off Botox treatments ($400 to $700) and 20 percent off lasik sessions ($4,500).
