There's space for four around Ikea's Saarinen knockoff.
|
Unless you have a classic six or a luxury loft, stylish home dining is hard to pull off in New York. If you’re short on both space and money, the solution is Ikea’s Docksta dining table. Not only does it replicate an iconic design by mid-century cult figure Eero Saarinen, it’s also, at just over 41 inches in diameter, big enough to seat four but small enough for a one-bedroom. Originals, first made for Knoll in 1956, go for about $1,300 to $1,700, but this version can be had for a mere $149(Ikea, 1000 Ikea Drive, Elizabeth, N.J.; 908-289-4488; ikea.com).
