Cashmere sweaters never go out of style, and they're on sale at Maya this week.

Trendy animal prints and fabrics throng store racks this fall, but those who value longevity never forget high-quality cashmere. You can get it for less at this week’s Maya sale (October 12 to 15, 11 A.M. to 7 P.M.; 58 Thomas Street; 212-608-7680), where preppy cardigans, chunky ponchos, and hoodies that usually cost over $200 at Saks Fifth Avenue, Henri Bendel, and Searle will be 60 percent off ($70 to $90). Cool variations include sweaters with mesh sleeves (pictured), embroidered apples and elbow patches, and a football design with “04” on the back. They may not go well with Celine’s leopard-print trench, but there’s no doubt you’ll still be wearing them next season.
