Profile

This casual East Village-style lounge keeps Astoria's hipsters happy with its boho decor, art exhibitions and world-beat soundtrack. But it's also a big hit with the local Greek and Cypriot populations—young and old alike—who stay 'til the wee hours playing board games and drinking ouzo. The vegetarian-friendly menu offers an eclectic, fairly priced array of salads, sandwiches and appetizers, including a fantastic platter of traditional Greek meats and cheeses. In summer, patio furniture set up in front of Cafe Bar's signature stained-glass windows makes for a lively sidewalk scene.
