Known for using high-quality leathers in traditional neutrals and unusual hues like mustard, burgundy, and salmon pink, Kyoto-based designer Nakano also produces seasonal items such as kimono-inspired fabric clutches or flower-adorned summer totes. Most devotees, however, started out with something from the signature Mondano collection of structured, modular, coated-leather bags with big pockets.
