Vulture is bringing its comedy coverage to life with Pretty Major, a live comedy show in partnership with Brooklyn’s Union Hall. Starting today, every Tuesday at 7 pm, Vulture and Union Hall will bring their favorite comedians to the stage, with the first show featuring Please Don’t Destroy, Taylor Garron, Kylie Brakeman, Sydnee Washington, Francesca D’Uva, and more. Shows will take place at Union Hall at 702 Union Street in Brooklyn, with tickets available on Union Hall’s website.
“The introduction and gradual expansion of our comedy department — through the acquisition of Splitsider and its editor Megh Wright; the launch of Jesse Fox’s excellent joke dissection podcast Good One; and the great news, reporting, and criticism we publish each week — has unlocked all sorts of new avenues to reach and delight our readers,” says Vulture editor Neil Janowitz. “Adding a regular IRL comedy show is a perfect way to both reinforce our commitment to the space and highlight the emerging comic talent that we find exciting.”
