Aside from Thomas Keller at Per Se on the 4th floor, the next highly anticipated return to New York's dining scene is former Lespinasse chef Gray Kunz. His 200-seat brasserie designed by David Rockwell will open next month and boast a grand view of the park. But for frequent TWC-goers who may find gazing at the The Maine a bit passé by mid-March, there will also be an open kitchen where they can get an eyeful of Kunz and company working their magic. A recent New York feature on Kuntz's return describes his cuisine as "not so much fusion as the product of a man fluent in the food languages of Europe, India, China, and Southeast Asia."
