New York vs. Costa Rica.

Tribeca has become the highest- earning Zip Code in town—which is not hard to believe, considering that it’s stocked with spacious and therefore pricey apartments like this three-bedroom, three-bath condo with high ceilings and views from all four exposures. Given the chance to own an entire island in Costa Rica, though, even the staunchest downtowner might reconsider. The weather’s beautiful, the countryside more so, and you can get from beach to rainforest to city in one day. You’ll even get a few of the same celebrity neighbors, as Brad and Angelina and Vince Vaughn have all been spotted in Costa Rica. At least there’s no Nobu yet.
