The building: The Laurel, 400 East 67th Street.
The amenity: The triathlon-training center.
The pitch: If this 129-unit condominium’s residents aren’t in shape when they buy their apartments, they will have no excuse after they move in. The gym’s fancy enough, with “custom-designed” equipment, steam room and sauna, and poolside cabanas in a bi-level space designed by fitness guru John Sitaras. But it’s the gym’s state-of-the-art triathlon-training center that’s meant to turn residents into extreme-sports enthusiasts, with three pools, top-shelf biking equipment, and a running circuit made specifically for aspiring Ironmen (and -women), who also get a free consultation with triathlete and trainer-to-the-stars Orion Mims.
