Mariska Hargitay’s penthouse can’t get arrested in this finicky market. According to online records, the Law & Order: SVU star put the Beach Street duplex she shares with actor-husband Peter Hermann on the market, through Brown Harris Stevens brokers Elizabeth Lee Sample and Brenda Powers, in early February. After several weeks at $6.495 million, the asking price was cut to $5.95 million in mid-March. The three-bedroom, two-and-a-half bath is still for sale, now at the re-reduced price of $5.495 million. Hargitay has also been spotted shopping for her next place, with Corcoran’s Robby Browne.
A few blocks away at the sales office of 200 Chambers Street, Knicks point guard and Coney Island native Stephon Marbury wasn’t exactly spotted hunting for an apartment but appears to be looking all the same. A source says he sent a member of his entourage—was his name Turtle?— to check out a high-floor two-bedroom model apartment at the Tribeca development.
