Months ago, actress Lili Taylor surprised (or was it impressed?) Cobble Hill’s hoi polloi when they spotted her attending an open house like any other Brooklynite, sans Hollywood trappings, seemingly oblivious to the stares she was drawing and deeply focused on the apartment itself. According to city records, she did end up buying the apartment, a charming, non-glitzy three-bedroom in a low-key co-op, for $950,000, about 6 percent over the asking price. Taylor, who’s starring in the new Lifetime series State of Mind, is the latest celeb to ditch Manhattan in favor of Brooklyn (joining Rachel Weisz, Keri Russell, and of course Heath Ledger and Michelle Williams, among many others). The move seems permanent; in July, she sold her place on Bethune Street, a two-unit combination she’s lived in since 2004, for $1.1 million.
