Cue the paparazzi: Jessica Simpson is apparently apartment-hunting in town. A source says she was recently spotted touring the penthouse in the new condo tower at 246 West 17th Street, a two-bedroom, two-bath with a 1,000-square-foot roof garden. Interestingly enough, it’s the same apartment that Jessica Alba was said to have checked out a few months ago.
A little farther downtown, the former United States soccer team captain Claudio Reyna has put the Cipriani Club pied-à-terre he bought last year on the market for $1.495 million. It’s listed with Gumley Haft Kleier brokers Sabrina Kleier Morgenstern and Rob Morgenstern. When he bought the one-bedroom in spring 2006, Reyna, who’s married with kids, was still playing for Manchester City, in the U.K.; last January, the New Jersey native came to the U.S. and suited up with his home state’s Red Bulls.
