What do Joel Schumacher, André Benjamin (a.k.a. André 3000), and Robert De Niro have in common? A passing fancy for 505 Greenwich, it seems. A source says all three have recently been sighted at the AKAM Associates’ glass-faced condo in western Soho, already home to the quasi-memoirist James Frey. A pair of three-bedrooms, priced at $2.8 million and $3.495 million, and a two-bedroom, listed at $2.395 million, are still available in the building, which has a pet spa and round-the-clock concierge. Schumacher, whose primary residence is in Los Angeles, may be on the lookout for a Manhattan pied-à-terre, and recent press reports say Benjamin is actively shopping for a place in the city, too. As for De Niro, it’s unclear why he’s on the hunt, though the building is a few blocks up the street from the long-delayed, soon-to-open Tribeca hotel in which he’s a partner. Corcoran brokers John Gasdaska and Jonathan Conlon and Eric Malley of the Malley Group, who all have listings at 505 Greenwich, wouldn’t comment.
