Would it be fun having Tracy Morgan next door? Possibly, as long as the place doesn’t catch fire the way his previous apartment, on Riverside Boulevard in Trump Place, did. After the blaze (caused by a faulty lamp in his fish tank; both Morgan and his pet shark got away uninjured), he and his immediate neighbors, including The View co-host Sherri Shepherd, were briefly displaced, and Morgan started checking out rental properties. He apparently found one he liked in the West Fifties, in a high-profile commercial building converted into luxury condos, and moved in several weeks ago. Morgan’s new space sounds posh, with four bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths, private parking, and a 1,000-square-foot terrace with views of the city. It’s unclear what he’s paying, though the landlord was recently asking $14,900 a month, with no explicit rules about aquariums. Neither Corcoran’s Charlie Attias, who had the listing, nor Ann Cutbill Lenane, Morgan’s own broker, had a comment on the deal.
