The City Bakery’s newly launched “It’s a Bad Economy Beer Menu” runs from 4 to 8 p.m. and constitutes either an offbeat early supper or truly peculiar happy hour. Four local draft beers and two New York State wines accompany tongue-in-cheek small plates like “recession bread heels,” “big pig in a pretzel-croissant blanket,” and “deflation chicken bones” (pictured). 3 W. 18th St., nr.
