Beginning January 22, New York’s premier frymaster Charles Gabriel totes his titanic skillets down from Harlem for Fried Chicken Fridays at Aretsky’s Patroon. Twenty-five bucks buys a three-piece dinner, including cornbread, two sides, and banana pudding for dessert, all to be devoured in the clubby environs of the restaurant’s second-floor Gibson Room. If everything goes well—and with Gabriel in the house, how could it not?—look for Fried Chicken Fridays to move up to the Patroon rooftop come summer (160 E. 46th St., nr. Lexington Ave.; 212-883-7373).
