Two of the greatest recent improvements to New York’s quality of life collide next week, when Terroir Wine Bar opens a seasonal outpost at the Porch on the High Line. From May 22 through November, this alfresco café will function as the park’s only sit-down restaurant, serving Marco Canora’s signature meatball subs, plus new dishes emphasizing local ingredients, like the Finger Lakes poultry in a smoked-chicken-salad sandwich (pictured). Partner Paul Grieco’s wine-and-beer list focuses on New York State, but not to the exclusion of his typically worldly selections (High Line at W. 15th St.).
