On Valentine’s Day, one top chef writes a culinary love letter to some of her favorite competitors.

    It’s a restaurant industry lovefest on February 14, when chef Alex Raij will base her special menu on the handiwork of her talented peers around town. She honors Banh Mi So 1 with a chilled foie gras terrine; gives a shout-out to Pearl Oyster Bar with a lobster salad on toasted brioche; and riffs on WD-50’s fried mayo with her croquetas of the day. She’ll reinterpret Momofuku’s pork buns, ’ino’s truffled egg toast, and Lassi’s goat paratha—all through the prism of her signature Spanish style.
