With pizzerias and mom-and-pop bistros popping up at every turn, the south end of Park Slope is fast becoming a dining destination.

    Modeled after the artsy London pub the Golden Heart, KitchenBar has a dual menu (tapas or family-style platters) and a Texas chef who did time at Otto and Commander’s Palace.

    The pizza comes with a pedigree—owner Sal Buglione is also a partner with Nick Angelis, of Nick’s pizza fame—and Buglione’s mom does the Sunday sauce.

    434 Seventh Ave., nr. 15th St.; 718-369-3144

    The South Slope couple behind this small-plates restaurant took Turkey’s meze-centric fish houses as their conceptual guide. But the menu is pure American eclectic.
