Even My Tiny Female Hands Can Grasp How Dumb This Smartphone for Women Is

If you identify as a man, please stop reading right now. You and your rugged hands are not the target audience for the Keecoo K1, a new smartphone engineered to fit just perfectly into the “small hands of women.” The phone, the first product from a company called Keecoo Mobile which has branded itself a go-to for “smartphones for women,” also offers a distinct hexagonal shape, three colors, and the warm feeling of condescension from an electronics manufacturing conglomerate.

The phone also has an impressive 8-megapixel front-facing camera to “capture every beautiful side of you.” (Which feels a little like Keecoo is telling me the selfies I take with the 1.2-megapixel camera on my current device are not beautiful, but okay.) And when you’re done capturing your beautiful side, you can use the phone’s built-in selfie-editing software which “automatically makes your skin look delicate and smooth.” On the whole, the unique design, excellent camera, and selfie filters might actually make the K1 a device worth considering, if it weren’t for the implications that only women want to look better in pictures and have small hands. (Insert Donald Trump joke here.)

No word yet on how much the K1 will cost or when it will be available, but I certainly can’t wait to find out because the iPhone 6 Plus I have been lugging around the for the last year is really starting to slow me down.

Editor’s Note: Please disregard typos as the author’s dainty 77-cents-on-the-dollar hands couldn’t reach all the keys on traditional masculine keyboard.
