YouTube Bans Firearms Demos and Instructional Videos, One Channel Moves to Pornhub

Wading into the debate over gun control, YouTube is changing its policies to ban firearms demos and links to websites that sell guns. According to Bloomberg, “videos that promote or link to websites selling firearms and accessories, including bump stocks” will be banned. Videos on how to assemble firearms will also be banned.

“While we’ve long prohibited the sale of firearms, we recently notified creators of updates we will be making around content promoting the sale or manufacture of firearms and their accessories,” YouTube said in a statement.

The new policies will be enforced in April, but affected channels are already starting to pack up and move out. InRange TV, a channel with more than 144,000 subscribers, now has a presence on Pornhub.
