AlphaBeta (70 Greenpoint Ave., nr. Franklin St., Greenpoint; 718-383-4444), the six-month-old streetwear-and-graffiti-supply store/art gallery, is opening its newest exhibit on February 13. Titled “Street Crush,” the love- and sex-themed exhibit is curated by Brooklyn photographer Jaime Rojo and presents a vibrant cross section of 42 artists, from Jef Aerosol, one of the original eighties stencil artists, to newcomers like Matt Siren, a Queens native whose Skinny Drip (2009), seen here, incorporates screen-print and oil-paint versions of his signature “Ghost Girl” atop a photo by Lee Holin. One wall will be available to the artistic whims of attendees on opening night.
