Starting this week, DesigNYC, a newly formed group of designers, architects, curators, and editors (led by Ed Schlossberg of ESI Design, and including New York’s Wendy Goodman), is launching a pro bono initiative to connect design experts with deserving projects. What qualifies? Community gardens, meeting rooms in low-income-housing buildings, and any other civic-minded project that could use help with graphic, interior, or landscape design, among other areas. Groups can submit plan proposals to designyc.org.
