I bought the black RAZR phone when it was first released in (allegedly) limited edition. I felt extremely cool having this sleek, beautiful thing, until literally every other person I saw on the street had one. By the end of this week, though, I will have the new, eighties-are-back, greed-is-good, Dolce & Gabbana Motorola RAZR V3i in—get this—gold. It has all the features you’d expect, plus it comes pre-loaded with Dolce & Gabbana-customized ringtones, screen savers, wallpapers and even mp3s. Tacky? Absolutely. But I admit, I love it.
$599 for phone only or $900 for phone with Bluetooth headset and gold eelskin phone case at Dolce & Gabbana, 825 Madison Ave., near 68th St.; 212-249-4100. Order online at motorola.com.
