The idea behind Lorac's new Showstopper eye and cheek palette was to bring red-carpet glamour to your bathroom. Marketing rhetoric, of course, but Lorac's Carol Shaw did team up with Miss Davenporte designers and stylists-to-the-stars Estee Stanley and Christina Ehrlich to create shimmery shades of beige, peach, brown, black, and pink (the glam translation is Sand, Serenity, Luxe, Glamour, and Couture) in a pretty, beaded compact. The colors are wearable; the powders aren't too dusty, and they're right on trend for the new light, smoky eye. Plus it fits into most purses, though I was hoping there was a little credit-card slot built in so I could carry it by itself.
$35 at Sephora (check Sephora.com for store locations).
