Today is Brazilian Independence Day, which is a great excuse to celebrate the many wonderful things that have come out of South America’s largest country. Like soccer god Pelé, the painful but useful bikini wax, and some killer cocktails, like the caipirinha. We feel it’s only appropriate to lift a few of the latter on this day. But a caipirinha is only as good as the cachaça it’s made with. Sagatiba Cachaça comes from fresh-pressed sugarcane and is distilled up to five times, resulting in a super-smooth liquor. And it’s finally available in New York, just in time for tonight's last-minute Brazil Day party.
