In the beauty biz, you hear tons of lame stories about products and their creation. But Francesco Clark's tale moved me—and his products are actually amazing. In 2002, Clark suffered a spinal-cord injury in a pool diving accident which left him unable to walk, feel, or even sweat. Chronic breakouts and clogged pores were in abundance, so he worked with his doctor dad (who's also homeopathic) to come up with something to clear up his skin. The end result is Clark's Botanicals. Everything is made with Jasmine Absolute, which is a natural anti-inflammatory, immune-stimulating, and anti-bacterial essential oil. The Skin Clearing Face & Body Wash ($46) soothed my testing-battered skin (I didn't even need to use toner), and the Anti-Puff Eye Cream ($75) helped me survive a tumultuous weekend and a freakishly long Fashion Week.
