Long, short, Grecian, flapper. It’s hard to win at the dressing game, but the one no-fail strategy is this: Wear what looks good now, and even better later. That’s why BCBG’s strapless jersey dress fits the bill, and, let’s hope, you. The right-above-knee length doesn’t require mile-long legs, and the ruched bodice and gathered skirt are meant to flatter. The plum-colored frock also sends us wishing for the days when we can bare it with black tights and booties, but until then it will satisfy us with a pair of chunky sandals. While the strapless style is not for everyone, just remember the cardinal clothing rule: Wear what looks good on you.
