The Cannonball
Beginning Memorial Day weekend, beachgoers can ride nonstop—and stay in one seat—from Penn Station all the way to the Hamptons. Departing every Friday afternoon through Labor Day, this LIRR express train will shoot straight to Westhampton, and continue on to Montauk, before returning to the city on Sunday night (from $27 one-way; mta.info).

Rockabus
Last summer’s groovy Williamsburg-to-the-Rockaways shuttle hits two new neighborhoods this season. On weekends starting May 25, the school buses will make hourly pickups at the corner of Metropolitan and Meeker Avenues, plus Prospect Park’s Grand Army Plaza and at East Houston near First Avenue. The end points: Rockaway Beach and Jacob Riis Park, the latter subbing in for Sandy-shuttered Fort Tilden ($15 round-trip; rockabus.com).

Boltbus
Greyhound’s budget-friendly offshoot has free Wi-Fi, generous legroom, and now nonstop service between the city and Long Island. Catch the bus at one of two Midtown East pickup spots, and choose from three beachy destinations, including Riverhead, Ronkonkoma, and Melville (from $1 one-way; boltbus.com).
