The minor shock of seeing so many amazing dresses at Anthropologie (of all places) will soon give way to excitement: Now that the weather is starting to be more temperate, you can actually wear them without freezing. My favorite is this red balloon dress from Marimekko, with a flattering shape and a rich color that works well with layers (traditional dressers can top them with a cardigan; progressive girls can put a thin cashmere sweater underneath). As for the print, it’s playful, but still modern enough to withstand a very adult night out.
