A certain subset of cell-phone users will never, ever warm up to the iPhone, because they just don’t like the keyless, onscreen virtual keyboard. For them, there’s the new Samsung Impression, now available through AT&T. Samsung’s all excited about the screen on this baby—the first to use fancy-sounding AMOLED (active-matrix organic light-emitting diode) technology for a super-viewable display even in bright sunlight—and yeah, it’s a nice screen, but the fully, clicky, backlit QWERTY keyboard is what won us over. Oh, and the three-megapixel camera, which offers 50 percent better resolution than the iPhone 3G’s camera.
$199.99 with contract, after rebate at AT&T.
