I’ve always considered Camper shoes the gym-class gear of German exchange students, but the latest from the brand has changed my mind. Fresh for fall, the eco-conscious company has released a line of Mary Janes that unabashedly rip off Marc Jacobs’s latest pumps but add something new: a ridiculous amount of comfort. Made mostly with plastic and rubber, the shoes absorb shock from the pavement and also work well in the rain—and with the new mini-dresses and wide-legged trousers you’re dying to break out. Just don’t try to wear them on the tennis court—they may feel like sneakers, but they don’t work like them.
$150 at Camper, 125 Prince St., at Wooster St.; 212-358-1842.
