Don Carney, best known for creating jewelry and bags for Patch NYC, is also the mastermind behind these pipe-cleaner wedding-cake toppers. He started out selling only to friends, but the business has evolved: Now couples can get customized sculptures that match their outfits and hair. Each handmade piece requires four months' lead time, but that's really a short wait—after all, these one-of-a-kind sculptures will make much more artful heirlooms than a dusty dress sealed in a plastic box.
Prices start at $500 at Patchnyc.com.
