If Givenchy's fall 2008 collection inspired you to buy and wear 47 gold chains at once, you weren't the only one (ahem). But not only is that expensive, it's impractical, which is why we're simplifying the trend and opting for this 28-inch necklace chain instead. Billed as a vintage Chanel chain made with gold from the forties, this variation is thick and lies flat on the neck, rather than rolled rope or boxy design that long chains usually fall into. Plus, the two-and-a-half-inch resin charm on the inset is a feminine detail, softening the hard pronged edge. And by scooping up vintage Chanel scraps, you not only have a solid necklace, you also recycled. Kudos!
