Wood You Wear

When we heard of G=9.8, a French line of intimate apparel made from enzyme-processed pine-tree chippings, we fought the urge to make every dirty joke that springs to mind when the words "wood" and "underwear" are in close proximity. Our inner adolescent boy successfully smothered, we had less success with blocking out the images of splinters in places no tree should ever be. However, the company says not to worry. The pine-derived fiber called Lenpur has "the feel of cashmere,” is super breathable, and is colored with chemical-free dye. Well, they sure beat a fig leaf.
